sometimes I think about how when tam was kidnapped for months that barely any of the time he was gone they others didn’t do anything about it. genuinely, no hate to Sophie but randomly she would think “oh yeah. Tam is kidnapped and probably getting really hurt right now.” And then thought about Fitz or Keefe or whatever.

Tam endured at least six months of being kidnapped and tortured and locked away in a weird cave. He had electric hand cuffs that would literally electrocute him whenever Gisela wanted.

Worst part is it’s barely acknowledged by the rest of the characters (and lwk Shannon’s writing. That short story was not enough). I really hoped Tam talked about it with someone because if I had to keep all that trauma and feelings to myself while in a war I’d actually just fly away on the alicorns (btw no one thanked tam for saving them either).

the natural lifespan of a fandom is unlimited. when well tended a fandom can be functionally immortal. and yet everywhere you look you see newly bred fandoms withering and dying when they’re barely a year old. barely even six months old. fans are looking at their six month old fandoms and saying i think it’s on its last legs, should i euthanise it? when with the proper care that fandom could outlive them for decades. it’s sad. sad state of affairs we’re in.
