Good news! I now have an appointment with my provider on May 13th! So hopefully I'll still be in a hotel to do the appointment so I'll be able to get prescribed my medication in time! How many people, in their last moments, knew it wouldn’t work… knew there was no real chance…

and still tried to help someone else anyway?

Not because it would save them.

Not because anyone would remember.

But because, in that moment, helping someone else felt like the only thing that still mattered.

We like to believe the world is cold. And sometimes it is. But then there are these moments… quiet, unseen…

where someone chooses kindness even when it changes nothing. Or maybe it changes everything. Maybe being human isn’t about winning or surviving. Maybe it’s about trying… even when it feels pointless.

Because it matters anyway.

Sometimes people try to help… even when they know it won’t be enough. Not because it guarantees anything, but because someone else might need that moment of care.
