I said that I need to go to bed, so what did I do instead? Brainstorm different ideas for what different world names could be.
Whaterwurld

Steellornor

Yudand
Opian
Beamerbeep
Kibe
Kibebet
Seavole
Viquay
Volerain
Some of these I like better than others. And I know which one I might be leaning towards...
I'm making a poll with some of my preferred ones are to see which ones draw other people's attention. And just remember that some of the country names are; Windsmere, Shadowfen, Fernsworth, Zostana, Rozenlenz, Neit, Grauwerly, Vessperly, Kingdom of Kernwald, Aquaila, and others.
I do find these results really interesting. And I think I know what I’m going to do now. I was originally leaning towards Yudand being the world name, but I think it might work better as a continent name. Which I’m also thinking for Questerling, Viquay, and maybe Kibe and Wheyland but those latter two could also end up being other countries. As for the world name, I think I actually like Volerain the best. So the poll definitely helped me sort out my own preferences for these different names.
The world of Volerain
I was so confused about why my numbering of the countries was off by one, until about two minutes ago when I saw that I doubled the number 17 as I was numbering and that’s what gave me the extra/off number.

Aquaila (Aquaillen)
Pronounced A-quail-ah and A-quail-len
Has had an elected government where the leader is mostly a figurehead who is switched out yearly. All the actual governance happens behind closed doors by people you’ve never heard about unless you’ve been an elected official. Is know for being the land of sunflowers, even though they have more than just sunflowers.
Geological feature of note, their vast prairies that are centred in the country. Aquaila (Aquaillen)

Writing ideas and thoughts I'll probably never use/ideas I want to read but not write.
So this idea probably came about because of @fictionadventurer's ideas about time travel via books and publishing dates, but also probably because of her time travel cruise/tourism (Jules and Vern) as well.
Time travel museum. In this museum there are different tableaux/dioramas of different time periods and historical events. In front of each tableaux/diorama is a pedestal with a hand scanner/tablet on top. When you place your hand on the device it activates and takes you the time of when that tableaux/diorama is set. The amount of time you are there is set, and when you are there you cannot physically interact with anything. You are like a ghost. The historical people cannot hear or see you. You can’t pick anything up, only observe or discuss with other travellers while there.
But what happens when you fail to return to the museum when the allotted time is up? What causes such a situation to happen? And is it the first time?
"With a prick of her palm, she was transported to the ghost-like state which came with travelling to the past."
Does anyone one want to play dragon detective with me? I’ve collected all my thoughts about the idea in one place already. I’ve got a little bit started already below. A version of what could be, mixing and matching some of the ideas.
Fantasy detective story where the detective works with a small dragon to solve crimes.
The dragon is like the littlest hobo, going around solving problems.
Dragon finds a jewel thief and the missing jewels
Dragon figures out a high profile murder
How did a dragon become a part of a detective team? Is the human partner a male or female? Is this a normal role that a dragon takes up? Or is this the first documented case? Or is it an in world fictional story?
Oh, what if the dragon switches between two detectives, a male detective who works heist cases, and a female detective who works murders. Sometimes the two detectives have to pair up for the same case.
The dragon detective gets told from the POV of the dragon.
Walawa was remained with a member of the Ravenswood family since James's day, down through the centuries, even as the particular family line has split away from the royal line and is no longer recognized as part of the royal lineage. Walawa at this point is a fully matured dragon of 400 ish years old. Helping her current human solve crimes. While searching for a mate.

Brackle (Bracklen or Brackleneze or Brackleze)
Pronounced Br-ack-L and Br-ack-len
Is in a transitional government stage, leaving their monarchy behind after the current king and queen die. The royal couple never had any children and any of the other options for a chosen heir, either don’t want the position or shouldn’t be in the position whether they’d like to or not. So the royal couple is working with the people to create a government that will work for the people once they’re gone.
Geological feature of note, has a river that’s famous for changing colours with the seasons and sometimes certain weather events.

The dragon is Walawa, Lalawa's daughter

For small anoyances, is there anything more annoying than wanting to listen to a song, being able to picture the music video, but not the song title, or the lyrics, or the artist enough to know what to even search for?
Or otherwise me trying to try other songs from a similar era and genre hoping the song I'm thinking of might pop up as a suggestion.
I found it! It just took searching for a different song to get it.

Rozenlenz (Rozians)
Pronounced Row-zen-len-zz and Row-zian
Might be sympathetic to Fernsworth, probably doesn’t have a royal family any longer. Is where Augustus (the scorn prince) takes his exile. Mainland is covered by a good portion of giant rose trees, which is where the country gets its name from.
Geological feature of note, the large rose tree forest/s that cover most of the mainland.
