hmm.. we might need to bump typescript version to 1.7.3 (that's what we used to generate the d.ts files for a.51 and a.52), but that requires update of broccoli-typescript. let me try to send a PR to get us up to a.52 |

After bumping Angular version I'm having this TypeScript issue in the generated project:
Even after trying to reference the manual typings the issue persists.
angular/angular#5596 should be related.
