Yup, this looks good to me, thanks! Also thanks for pointing out the upstream commit, this always makes it a lot easier for us to verify that an upstream change actually happened as described.

In Git the binary macro was updated to including unsetting merge:

They have also removed crlf, but won't do that here. Link for removal in Git:
